ONE SQUARE STORIES
DEMOCRATIZING ART: BRINGING BANGLADESHI ART CLOSER TO THE PEOPLE
On Saturday evening, 14 February 2026, Bhumi Gallery inaugurated the group art exhibition “One Square Stories”, featuring the works of 20 distinguished and renowned artists of Bangladesh. The opening ceremony was held at Bhumi Gallery in Lalmatia, bringing together eminent artists, guests, critics, and art enthusiasts for a vibrant cultural gathering.
The event was graced by the distinguished artist Rafiqun Nabi as the Chief Guest, while the Special Guest was Akhter Mahmud Rana, Advisor, United Group. Artist Nisar Hossain delivered a speech, and on behalf of the participating artist Mohammad Eunus, the eminent artist also addressed the audience, and Bhumi Gallery’s Founder & Chief Executive Saifur Rahman Lenin.
The inauguration was further enriched by the presence of participating artists, art critics, collectors, and numerous art lovers.
This month-long exhibition will remain open to visitors until 14 March 2026.
“One Square Stories” presents a total of 100 artworks, each created on a one square foot canvas by 20 participating artists. The exhibition explores how powerful artistic narratives can emerge within a compact format, where scale does not limit expression.
The exhibition features work by: Mohammad Younus, Jamal Ahmed, Ranjit Das, Ahmed Shamsuddoha, Kanakchampa Chakma, Mohammad Iqbal, Mahmudur Rahman Dipon, Shaila Akhter, Azmeer Hossain, Sadek Ahmed, Kamal Uddin, Abdus Sattar Taufiq, M M Maksud Biplob, Abdullah Al Bashir, Kamruzzohha, Sahid Kazi, Monjur Rashid, Nazmul Haque Bappy,
Azmal Hossain, and Jayanta Mondal.
