Rainscape: A Group Watercolor Exhibition Celebrating the Monsoon of Bangladesh

Bhumi Gallery inaugurated “Rainscape,” a group watercolor exhibition featuring 75 artworks by 25 of Bangladesh’s renowned and talented watercolor artists, on Friday, 10 July 2026, at 6:30 PM.

The opening ceremony took place at Bhumi Gallery, Lalmatia, in the presence of distinguished artists Abdul Mannan and Ranjit Das as special guests.

The inauguration was also attended by participating artists, art critics, collectors, art enthusiasts, and invited guests from the cultural community.

The exhibition will remain open to the public until 22 July 2026, every day from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Rainscape presents a collection of 75 watercolor paintings by 25 artists, each capturing the poetic beauty and unique atmosphere of the Bangladeshi monsoon.

Through diverse artistic expressions, the exhibition celebrates the country’s rain-soaked landscapes, rural and urban scenery, and the enduring emotional connection between nature and everyday life.

The participating artists are: Abdul Mannan, Jamal Ahmed, Ranjit Das, Rezaun Nabi, Robiul Islam, Damasush Haccha, Anisur Rahman, Prodyut Bhatta, Suman Baidya, Al Akhir Sarkar, Rashed Kamal Russell, Kamruzzoha, W Rahman Sami, Subarna Chakraborty Tanmoy, Shampa Zoha, Rubel Khan, Helal Shah, Anamuj Jahid, Tamanna Liza, Karidul Islam, Fariyaz Imran, and Jolok Saha.

More than an exhibition of monsoon landscapes, Rainscape is an artistic expression of the profound relationship between the people of Bangladesh, its culture, and the rainy season. It also serves as a meaningful platform for intergenerational dialogue, creative exchange, and the continuation of the country’s rich watercolor tradition, bringing together established masters, accomplished contemporary artists, emerging talents, and recent graduates.

Bhumi Gallery believes that by connecting Bangladesh’s distinguished watercolor heritage with the creative vision of a new generation, this artistic tradition can be presented more confidently on the international stage. Rainscape is a sincere and aesthetically curated reflection of that vision.
