Artist Sunil Kumar himself has chosen the title of his exhibition ‘Story of the Path’. The experience of life is known in various ways. This path is not only derived from the nature of the earth and the external forms of various life flows. The artist sees the material world in the light of his life experience, perspective, belief and philosophy of life. Therefore, the artist’s own account of the mind dominates the visible nature. When looking at Sunil Kumar’s paintings, the issues of examining his statement are particularly visible. Sunil follows the path of beauty, but again, due to the impact of negative experiences, that beauty has been destroyed in his paintings.
Sunil focuses on the human face; sometimes he depicts the entire body. This artist has created many portraits of famous and unknown people by understanding the identity and signs of the character. However, the destination of his artistic journey is not a follower of the realistic style. Apart from this, he has tried to draw an equation between the graceful physical form of a woman and the inexhaustible form of nature. Looking at the pictures of this genre, one can feel the special momentum that the male creative consciousness of lust gets. But in search of a deeper meaning, he has also left clear evidence of elevating women to mythological idols. In his pictures, the female body has taken on the dual form of human and animal and has been transformed into a Mayabono-Biharini Harini.

The female face placed in meditation with a lotus in her hand and the red-lipped bird on her side – these also contain the narrative of the healing of the sorrowful soul. He has added a color palette to one of the hands of the multi-armed goddess. In this addition, the artist has expressed the hope of conveying a new metaphor based on mythological images. Through this reconstruction of the myth, the artist wanted to express the meaning of time and personal feelings. He wanted to express this narrative in Arabic. Therefore, in his paintings, even in cities devastated by terrorist conflicts, red flowers bloom on top of green leaves, and the firmness of commitment becomes evident in the clenched fists of brave hands. The artist’s political awareness becomes perceptible in these arrangements.
