The opening ceremony took place at the Bhumi Gallery in Lalmatia, Dhaka. The event was graced by the esteemed painter, Professor Mohammad Yunus, who attended as the Chief Guest, while Professor Dr. Mohammad Anwarul Islam, CEO of Wildteam, served as the Special Guest. The event was chaired by the renowned ornithologist and bird expert, Inam Al Haque.
This five-day exhibition, which runs daily from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM, will be open to the public until August 20, 2025.
The Aranyarekha exhibition features the work of the following artists: Farzana Rahman Babi, Israt Jahan, Konok Aditya, Mamun Hossain, Md. Robiul Islam, Md. Zahid Hossain, Monjur Rashid, Morsena Rahman Rupa, Nargis Akter Punam, Shakti Noman, Upama Das Trina and Jemrina Haque.
[The Adyapanta collective was established in 2019, and our first art camp took place in 2021 in the scenic hills of Sherpur, at Nakshi Village. The works created during this camp were later exhibited at Safiuddin Art Gallery in 2022. This year, under the patronage of Professor Dr. Mohammad Anwarul Islam, CEO of Wildteam, and bird expert Inam Al Haque, we held the Sundarbans art camp at Wildteam’s Conservation Biological Center in Joymonighor, Mongla, from April 3 to 5. Out of the entire group, twelve artists participated in the camp. The artists were inspired by the natural beauty of the area surrounding Joymoni, and many of the paintings were created while traveling by boat through the vast Sundarbans. These works-depicting the rich landscape and biodiversity of the region-now form the core of the Aranyarekha exhibition.
The exhibition features a total of 65 paintings, each presenting the unique vision, medium, and artistic approach of the participating artists. Through their work, they explore and celebrate the pristine beauty of the Sundarbans, one of the world’s most vital ecological regions, known for its unique flora, fauna, and captivating natural landscapes.]
