Mahmudur Rahman Dipon’s The Moments Dipon beholds the world and then breathes it into his artworks. In his upcoming third solo exhibition, The Moments, running at Bhumi Gallery in Lalmatia from the 4th of July and with over 54 recent works, Dipon invites us all into a world where life converges with an unsettling beauty.
Dipon, a graduate of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Dhaka University, works outside commercial art, focusing on solitude, contemplation, and authentic expression.

Created mainly using charcoal, acrylic, water color and pastel, his artworks evoke a subtle yet powerful emotion. There are no theatrics here—only the somnolent tremors of urban nights, the delicate intervals between heartbeats, and the weight of intangible beauty. While his previous series, Dark Time, reflected despair, The Moments explores the remnants of memory—what fades, endures, and shapes our identity.

Dipon’s art does not proclaim—it unveils. What he offers is not the surface of things but the tender landscape within: the hushed griefs, the trembling desires, and the fleeting glimmers of joy. Each work unfolds like a stanza, each stroke a quiet invocation—bare, bold, and achingly brave.
