The Trendsetters

A Celebration of Visionary Voices in Bangladeshi Art

Bhumi Gallery proudly presents The Trendsetters, a group exhibition that brings together the works of ten of Bangladesh’s most promising, renowned, and established young artists. As the curator of this exhibition and the founder and CEO of Bhumi Gallery, it is my honour to showcase the vibrant creativity and powerful narratives that define this generation of artists.
The exhibition was inaugurated by internationally renowned artist Monirul Islam and art enthusiast Gitanka Debdip Datta was present as a special guest.
Featuring 65 paintings in a variety of media, The Trendsetters is a celebration of individuality and innovation. Each artist-Anukul Chandra Mojumder, Azmeer Hossain, Kamal Uddin, Sadek Ahmed, Kazi Shahid, Shohag Parvez, Abdullah Al Bashir, Kamruzzoha, Shahnoor Mamun and Saurav Chowdhury-brings their own distinct style, subject matter, and visual language to this dynamic collection. These ten artists represent a diverse and evolving spectrum of contemporary Bangladeshi art.
Their consistent practice and bold explorations have not only earned recognition both nationally and internationally but have also played a vital role in inspiring the country’s emerging artist community. Their dedication and achievements continue to enrich the artistic landscape of Bangladesh and pave the way for future generations.
The Trendsetters is more than an exhibition-it is a testament to the spirit of innovation, resilience, and passion that defines our cultural identity today. Through this initiative, Bhumi Gallery remains committed to nurturing artistic excellence and promoting the voices that will shape the future of art in Bangladesh.
